About getmy.house

Type an address or a postcode anywhere in England and Wales and see what the public records say about it.

What it is

getmy.house puts the public records about a home in one place. Every figure comes from public records. Where you ask for one, it also gives a computer estimate of what a home is worth — an estimate, not a valuation. Nothing on it is advice.

It is free to use. There is no account and nothing to sign up for. Estimates and asking rents are kept for up to 60 days so the same question is not asked twice, with nothing that says who asked. To keep to a daily limit, your internet address is scrambled and counted for the day, then deleted.

What it shows

Sold prices since 1995
What the address has sold for, and what has sold around it. Move the map and the list follows.

Crime nearby
Crimes recorded within about 500 metres over the last twelve months, by kind, on a map.
Rents and yields

Floor area, energy rating, walls, flood risk and the planning rules on the land.

What it’s worth
A computer estimate of what a home might sell for. It is not a valuation, and lenders always carry out their own.

Local deals
Homes for sale in a postcode district that fit a kind of deal, such as unmodernised or price reduced.
Your numbers
A calculator for your own sums. Nothing you type in it is saved.
